The Message

Where will you spend eternity when you die?
A person doesn’t get into heaven by being a church go’er, by doing good deeds or by being a good person. These are self-righteousness acts. The scriptures say that our righteousness / good deeds are as filthy rags before God and that “Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.” (Hebrews 9:22). Without forgiveness of sins there is no eternal life in heaven. God has provided for us Messiah, a savior. Messiah died and shed his blood for you by being nailed & hung on a tree. He was sacrificed so you can be forgiven of your sins & reconciled to God. Believing in the one whom God has sent is the work God requires. (John 6:28-29: Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?” Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”

In order to get into heaven one needs to be forgiven of all their sins, no matter how great or small. Sin is defined not by how bad man can be and comparing ourselves to others, but how holy, perfect and true God is and seeing ourselves in light of His holiness. It isn’t good people who get into heaven, it’s redeemed people who get into heaven; People who are reconciled to God by a way defined by God himself. In religion people do good deeds in order to earn God’s favor. In religion people believe that if they read their religious writings, give to the poor, give to charitable organizations or are involved in church activities they will get into heaven. This is religion at its core and is essentially of no use when it comes to getting into heaven. “For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:20). Religion is man’s attempt to reach God, Christ is God’s attempt to reach man, to reach you. Many people try to “earn” forgiveness by doing good deeds. Doing good deeds will not forgive you. Doing good deeds will not wash away your sins. Only the blood of the Savior can do that. Good deeds are a fruit of salvation, salvation is not a fruit of good deeds.

Because of the fall (When man chose his way over God’s), we are born into the world with a sin nature, spiritually separated from God. “All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23). The judgment for sin is death and to remain in a state separated from God. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23.) In order to administer justice, God must punish sin. Because He is holy, perfect and true he must do so. Knowing he must do so and knowing that he loves you with an un-ending love, he came up with a plan – a way for you to avoid eternal death and to spend eternity with him, yet a way that satisfies his punishment for our sins. Because of God’s great love for us he clothed himself in human skin by entering the world through a virgin who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit. He, who is able to do this, did this; not to debunk our logic or to force us to make a blind leap of faith, but to provide us a lamb that was without blemish, a Savior who was without sin. Christ was not a man who became God, for this is impossible. God became man and with God all things are possible. “Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death, even death on a cross!” (Philippians 2:6-8). God gave himself the name “Yeshua” which means “Yahweh (The Lord) is Salvation.” Which, when translated into English is “Jesus” or “Joshua.”

If you hear this salvation message, a message of God’s un-ending love, ask God to help you turn from your sin and to him. Ask him to reveal to you the truth about Yeshua. When you put your faith in Yeshua, God’s wrath is lifted off you and will not come upon you on the day of judgment. You cross from death to life the moment you trust in Yeshua. Your good deeds have nothing to do with his choosing to die in your place for your sins. It is only by trusting in what Yeshua has done for you that your sins are forgiven.

“It is by grace you have been saved through faith, not of works.” (Ephesians 2:8). This is why Yeshua is unique and the only way to God. No one else was sinless, no one else took God’s wrath for us and was punished in our place for our sins. This is the way – the course love has taken.

If you want to respond to God’s message of salvation and accept Yeshua as your personal savior go before God in prayer knowing that he hears you, knowing that he loves you and knowing that you will be completely forgiven of all your sins and reconciled to him when you trust in Yeshua as your Lord and Savior.

“Dear Heavenly Father, I admit that I have sinned and fallen short of your glory. I believe the wages of my sin is death, Eternal separation from you.

But because of your unfailing love for me, while I was still sinning, Yeshua died for me. I believe you sacrificed Yeshua for my sins, that you placed my sins on Him and punished Him in my place.”

“Dear Heavenly Father, It’s with my mouth I confess that Yeshua is Lord and in my heart I believe that you raised Him from the dead. I now put my faith in Him and trust in Him alone for salvation.”

“Yeshua, I now receive you as my Personal Lord and Savior. Amen.”
